Trip to Missouri

We got to go back to MO for a week and a half. On our way there we did stop to see the Meteor Crater in New Mexico. It was interesting. We stopped in Albuquerque, NM each direction for an over night stay.
We really enjoyed ourselves in Missouri even though it was more of a working vacation. There was lots to be done around the house. A lot went wrong and we worked hard in the scorching heat of over 100 degrees every day but we all agreed that we still love it there and want to get back there to stay. We didn't want to come leave.
Devin got to spent a lot of time with his friends. We ate dinner and swam with our friends from Fair Haven Cove, it was nice seeing them. We got to visit with people from church and we went into Branson and saw the shows "SIX" and "Island Fire". Both excellent shows. Keith and I celebrated our 23rd anniversary in MO. We ate at an all you can eat lobster buffet then went down to Branson Landing and listened to a outdoor concert. The band was excellent. They played in front of the dancing waters. It was very nice.
We knew going there that we would need to get out riding lawn mower fixed and that we would need to call in Roto-Rooter for a clogged drain but it cost more than expected. Keith felt bad but kept putting off going to the doctors since we have no insurance but ended going in to a clinic on Saturday, he had strep. The afternoon he started his meds he started to feel better (bet he wished he had gone in 4 days earlier). We went down to go out in our boat on the nice refreshing lake only to find out it would fire up but not stay going. Keith tried replacing some parts still didn't work, so no boating (that really sucked) but at least there was swimming. It felt really good. The Monday afternoon before we were to leave the air conditioning went out in our vehicle. Luckily, a Chevy dealer in Springfield could get us in Tuesday morning. We picked it up Wednesday afternoon. Left Thursday morning. Not a cheap trip by any means. When we started to talk about it we felt a few of the things happening when they did were actually a blessing. The trip to the doctors was cheaper in Missouri than it would have been here in CA and better to have the air go out when it did and be able to fix it than to be somewhere on the road and have it stop. Everything went well on the way there and on the way back so all is well. In our prayers before starting our trip we ask that nothing will go wrong while we are on the road maybe next next time we will include while we are at our destination as well.
